Culajao Mangrove Ecopark




Culajao Mangrove Eco-Park in Roxas City, Capiz has the distinction of being a community protected mangrove reserve and the only one within the city. It stretches within 4.69 hectares and home to diverse marine and mangrove species. From the road take a short walk under the shed of mangroves along the way to get to the reception area. Mingle with nature and get a flight out in this world relaxing in nipa huts interconnected with at least 100 meters of thrilling pedestrian suspension bridges. Nipa huts are in different sizes and
can host at most 20 persons.
They have several packages for tours that include a bamboo raft (banca) ride along the river to get a closer look of the 19 species of mangroves that serve as habitat for a vast variety of fishes, c
rustaceans, mollusks, and shells. Listen to a live composo about mangroves and Culajao. Watch the herons and other exotic bird species flying around catching fish. A fish cage is also available for hook and line f
ishing.
The Culajao Mangrove Ecopark in Roxas City is an educational tours. It has received a special citation as “Eco Tourism Product” during the Western Visayas Tourism Assembly. We are proudly that this place place was discover by giving many information in our ecosystem and giving more importance to our nature.
This place is best for educational tours, group fellowship to gain firsthand knowledge and a simple family picnic. There are cottages available. Many huts to see and wild animal, and most of all the mangroves grown in the side of the river.
